Learn About Our Solventless Extracts and Their Benefits
Cannabis concentrates are gaining popularity because they’re potent, effective, and generally impart a cleaner high than other consumption methods. But not all concentrates are created equal. Potency and effectiveness are important qualities to consider in plant medicine, but not if they’re in exchange for a potentially risky product.
Knowing how inconsistent the cannabis concentrate market can be, we developed a line of solventless concentrates for our patients. We chose solventless concentrates because we want to be able to guarantee the safety and cleanliness of our products, and that’s not always an option for solvent-based concentrates.
Read on to learn why solventless concentrates are your best concentrate option and explore the products you can find at House of Platinum Cannabis.
Why Solventless?
Simply put, solventless concentrates don’t contain anything other than what naturally occurs in the cannabis plant.
Solvent-based cannabis concentrates use either ethanol, propane, or butane to extract cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBN, etc.) and terpenes (flavor/aroma molecules like myrcene, limonene, etc.) from trichomes (resin glands). These solvents chemically change resin glands to separate cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant. Usually, the solvents are removed from the concentrate later in the process, but it’s never guaranteed they’re completely gone.
Solventless concentrates use mechanical separation through pressure, temperature, and agitation to remove cannabinoids and terpenes from trichomes, so not only do you not have to worry about chemical residue but the natural integrity of the compounds isn’t affected.
With solventless concentrates, what you’re consuming is 100% natural.
House of Platinum Cannabis Solventless Concentrates
We developed five different solventless extracts for our patients. Some are ideal for seasoned consumers and some are approachable for those new to cannabis concentrates, but all are clean, potent, and exceptionally effective.
90u Bubble Hash
Bubble hash is one of the oldest forms of cannabis concentrate. It’s made by “washing” plant material in ice water to freeze the trichomes. Once frozen, trichomes break off from the plant through gentle agitation. The trichomes are then collected and sifted through a series of sieves to remove any leftover plant material. The final product is pure trichomes loaded with relief-providing cannabinoids and terpenes.
To ensure premium quality, our 90u Bubble Hash is hand-washed. It’s a dry concentrate, so you can sprinkle it on top of a bowl or joint to smoke, but since it’s a full melt product, you can also dab it. (We recommend using a quartz nail when dabbing it.) This is an extremely potent cannabis concentrate, so it’s ideal for experienced dabbers and consumers.
Live Rosin Cold Cure Badder
Cold curing produces the crème de la crème of solventless extracts. (Seriously, it’s super creamy, like cake batter. Hence the name.) Our Live Rosin Cold Cure Badder starts with plants that are harvested and washed by hand and then pressed by hand at low temperatures for ultimate terpene preservation. Once pressed, we cure it at room temperature in a dark environment for upwards of seven days. Room temperature doesn’t technically qualify as “cold,” but compared to warm cure temps of 90-135 degrees Fahrenheit, it is.
This product is designed for dabbers and experienced consumers, but you can also vape it, making it a great choice for entry-level concentrate users as well.
Live Rosin Fresh Press
This is the freshest form of rosin. We take our bubble hash and press it between two metal plates at very low temperatures to preserve terpenes. We then immediately put the fresh-pressed extract back into a cold environment, package it, and deliver it to our patients still cold. By keeping it cold, our patients can experience the concentrated compounds of the plant in their freshest form, and they have the ability to age the product in their fridge or freezer until it’s to their liking. This cannabis concentrate can be dabbed or vaped, making it ideal for experienced and entry-level consumers alike.
Live Rosin Preserves
Like our Fresh Press above, Live Rosin Preserves is extremely fresh. We use precise timing and temperatures when pressing our hash into this particular rosin, resulting in a unique, preserve-like extract that’s exploding with flavorful terpenes. This extract is a premier option for cannabis connoisseurs and experienced dabbers because of its intense flavor profile. It can also be vaped, making it an approachable option for those new to cannabis concentrates too.
0.5 Live Rosin Cartridges
Perfect for all types of patients, our Live Rosin Cartridges are convenient, discreet, and easy to use. Unlike other vape cartridges on the market, these have unmatched flavor because they’re solventless, contain no additives, and are 100% live rosin. And even though they’re bursting with flavor, there’s no distinct aroma because it’s inhaled as vapor, not smoke.
Conclusion
Cannabis concentrates are a great method of relief for both experienced and new patients, but it’s important to start with the right one for you. We’ve narrowed down the options for our patients by producing only safe solventless extracts, but you still have to choose between dabbing, smoking, or vaping your concentrate.
