Compliance Technician – Florida

job description:

The Quality& ComplianceTechnician will perform quality functions in support of the Quality department and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, creating process maps. This position is locaed at the Apopka, Florida location. This position may occasionally require travel to other locations within Florida. Primary responsibilities include assisting in inspection and release of finished goods, equipment calibrations, organization and filing of documents, shipping activities, and data entry functions.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Perform visual inspection of finished goods against specifications
  • Assist with overall disposition and release of finish products
  • Log receipt of finished goods into QC database
  • Report and assist with investigation of nonconforming products.
  • Assist in reviewing product formulas
  • Review product packaging against specifications
  • Organize and review product certificates of analysis, inspection records and manufacturing documents
  • Validate information and data on test reports and certificates of analysis
  • Assist with inspection and disposition of product returns
  • Collect and maintain finished good retain samples
  • Maintain product reference standards
  • Generate Certificates of Analysis for finished goods
  • Process product samples for shipping
  • Assemble test result data and summarize information into report format
  • Perform administrative duties; including copying and filing
  • Document process and procedure flows based on site operations.
  • Work with Technical Writers to develop and update procedural documentation.
  • Assist in organizing and updating site documentation.
  • Work with the compliance team on document control and scheduled document reviews.
  • Work with the compliance team to coordinate and carry out internal audits.
  • Assist in preparation for audits required by State authorities and business-related certifications.
  • Carry out required site training at the direction of the compliance team.
  • Work with management to enforce procedural requirements in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and State regulations.
  • Assist in site inventory management

qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in quality systems and/or laboratory testing
  • Knowledge of quality and compliance systems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly.
  • Must be flexible and have the ability to multi-task different projects.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Superior organization skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
